You may or may not know this, but electronic cigarettes are already a great cost savings over traditional cigarettes. On top of that, we will be listing coupon codes and discounts here to help save you even more money on your e-cig purchase!
Saving Money With E Cigs
Smokers who switch to vaping notice how much more money they have at the end of the month. They are saving money automatically, but there are money-saving strategies to enhance this process too. Here are some ideas for saving money with e cigs.
Buy Name Brands
Generic spaghetti might taste the same as brand-name stuff, but with electronics you can’t take risks. Buy proven names in e cig electronics. They cost more now, but you save money ultimately because batteries last as long as they are supposed to and cartridges do not leak.
Use eGos
Try vaping with mini cigs but graduate as quickly as you can to eGo-style batteries and clearomizers. These are more cost effective, especially Chinese brands purchased in the United States such as Kanger and JoyeTech. American e cig brands often charge too much for their mini cig batteries and the same is true if they carry a high-powered manual battery. They’re still cheaper than smokes, but not as cheap as eGos filled with e liquid.
Fill in the Blanks
Choose blank cartomizers in place of pre-filled cartomizers when you feel confident enough to try filling those tiny vessels. Then you can refill these with e liquid that costs a third or even ¼ of the price. The average price of refills is a little more than $2 per cartridge (1 ml). The average price of e liquid is around 65 cents per ml. Clearomizers cost money too, but if they are rebuildable you can just change the atomizer every few weeks which makes them a lot cheaper.
Collect Rewards
Most e cig companies and vape shops offer loyalty rewards to their customers as a means of attracting and holding onto their business. They are not redeemable for cash but can be used in lieu of cash when buying items. Join a home delivery scheme and gain points plus additional savings. It is typical to earn a few points just by signing up for a newsletter or writing a review.
Shop Around
The first price you see is not necessarily the best one or even close. If you thought standardized e cig pricing was in place across the country, think again. There isn’t even an unwritten code about this topic. E cigs and accessories are already marked up considerably, but some shops are doubling their profit margin compared with mainstream stores. For instance, anything over $55 for a 2-battery starter kit is way too much unless it contains a lot of fancy extras.
Shop Online
Online pricing is usually the best around, but only if the shipping agreement works in your favor. When placing a large order, it is usually possible to forgo shipping. Take care, though: the lower price you see could be offset by the cost to get an item to your door, while a more expensive vendor offers free shipping at a lower level or the bill with shipping is not cheaper than the price tag at your local vape store.
Buy Volumes
Think ahead: how much e liquid do you expect to use in a month? How many atomizer heads will you replace in six months? Can you imagine a purpose to purchase multiple disposable e cigs in a short space of time (to give out at a party, for instance)? Volume pricing is in effect at many stores, whether brand name shops or vape stores carrying many brands and models of e cigs.
The more you buy of certain things the less each unit costs. If you can’t see yourself using multiples of something, get your friends together and create a single order, splitting costs between you to get the best price. Good examples are cartridges, bottles of e liquid, and batteries.
Use Products Carefully
Follow instructions, charging batteries before they die completely; removing them from the charger when its green light stops flashing; and never trying to vape from a nearly-dead e cig. Acting sensibly allows you to preserve the life of your battery and save money.
