Starting about a foot (30 centimeters)below the armrest on one side of your chair, measure up over the armrest, down across the cushionless seat, over the other armrest, and down about a foot on the other side. That will be the length of your main piece. Depending on your chair, its width should be 15 to 18 inches (37 to 45 centimeters). Cut two separate squares of fabric to serve as pockets. Fold over the top of each piece and sew a hem. Sew a pocket on each end of the main piece, right sides together. Invert the pockets and hem the main piece.
